December 6, 2025: Lubbock, TX 79424 Liberty Patriots (Lubbock, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX), 85-66 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Liberty upgrades its record to 7-0 on the year. The Patriots travel to Amarillo (Amarillo, TX) to face the Sandies in a non-league match on Monday, December 8. The Sandies enter the match with a record of 10-3. Amarillo won 37-22 in their recent non-league match against Eastwood (El Paso, TX)
The Plainsmen now sport a 10-3 record. They play next when they host Caprock for a 5A Region I District 3 game on Friday, December 12. Monterey will confront a Longhorns team coming off a 53-35 non-league loss to Montwood (El Paso, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 3-7.
