Texas High School Basketball - Princeton thwarts Poteet
December 6, 2025: Princeton, TX 75407 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Princeton Panthers (Princeton, TX) and the visiting Poteet Pirates (Mesquite, TX), observed Princeton's basketball team knock off Poteet by a score of 54-44.
The Panthers (7-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Plano (Plano, TX). The Wildcats come into the 6A Region I District 6 challenge with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, Plano was outscored by Plano East (Plano, TX), 47-37, in a non-league battle.
The Pirates now own a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rowlett for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 9. Poteet will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 77-63 non-league loss to Walnut Grove (Prosper, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 3-3.
