Zane Trace Pioneers (Chillicothe, OH) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Waverly Tigers (Waverly, OH), 53-50 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Zane Trace upgrades its record to 2-1 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Adena (Frankfort, OH) to confront the Warriors in a Scioto Valley contest on Tuesday, December 9. The Warriors go into the contest with a record of 2-1. Adena lost 52-34 in their recent league contest against Unioto (Chillicothe, OH)

Next, the Tigers face the Hillsboro Indians (Hillsboro, OH) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, December 9. Waverly will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Indians enter the outing with a 0-2 record after their 57-50 non-league loss to North Adams (Seaman, OH).
