In Saturday's non-league battle, the Union Grove Christian Patriots (Lexington, NC) basketball squad held off the visiting Creekside Christian Academy Cougars (McDonough, GA), by a count of 49-45.

With the victory, Union Grove Christian advances its record to 5-8 on the year. The Patriots host Woodland Baptist Christian (Winston-Salem, NC) to meet the Eagles in a non-league battle on Monday, December 8. The Eagles enter the battle with a record of 2-3.
