The Lamar Texans basketball squad (Houston, TX), was nudged 54-47 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Wheatley Wildcats (Houston, TX)

With the victory, Wheatley advances its record to 9-2 on the season. The Wildcats host Washington (Houston, TX) to encounter the Eagles in a 4A Region III District 20 challenge on Tuesday, December 9. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 0-2.

In their next game, the Texans encounter the Westside Wolves (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 18 challenge, on Wednesday, December 10. Lamar will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record.
