Linn County Mustangs (Purdin, MO) backers were thrilled Saturday as they saw their basketball team tip the host Northwestern Eagles (Mendon, MO), 50-47 in a non-league game.

The Mustangs now have a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Brashear for a Tri-County - Northeast game on Tuesday, December 9. Linn County will confront a Tigers team coming off a 38-30 league win over Novinger (Novinger, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Northwestern falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Tina-Avalon (Tina, MO) to play the Dragons in a CLAA game on Thursday, December 11. The Dragons go into the game with a record of 0-3. Tina-Avalon lost 45-32 in their recent non-league game against Braymer (Braymer, MO)
