Madeira Snails (McLean, VA) backers went home thrilled Saturday as they saw their basketball team tip the visiting Oakcrest Chargers (McLean, VA), 39-37 in a non-league contest.

The Snails (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Seton (Manassas, VA). The Conquistadors go into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Seton nipped Immanuel Christian (Springfield, VA), 47-15, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Chargers battle the Fredericksburg Christian Eagles (Fredericksburg, VA) in a VISAA Division II contest, on Tuesday, December 9. Oakcrest will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 50-47 non-league win over The Carmel School (Ruther Glen, VA).
