The Downey Vikings bounced the host Canyon Comanches basketball team by a margin of 50-27 in Saturday's non-league game.

The Vikings now have a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Whittier for a non-league game on Monday, December 8. Downey will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 37-33 non-league loss to West (Torrance, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-1.
