Mississippi High School Basketball - Jumpertown tops Walnut
December 7, 2021: Booneville, MS 38829 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Jumpertown Cardinals (Booneville, MS) and the visiting Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS), saw Jumpertown's basketball squad knock off Walnut by a tally of 73-57.
With the victory, Jumpertown improves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Wheeler (Wheeler, MS) to play the Eagles in a 1A Region 1 challenge on Friday, December 10. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 10-1. Wheeler lost 45-37 in their recent league challenge against Biggersville (Corinth, MS)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Nettleton Tigers (Nettleton, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 11. Walnut will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 8-1 record after their 55-51 league win over Aberdeen (Aberdeen, MS).
