Virginia High School Basketball - Currituck County over Western Branch

December 7, 2022: Chesapeake, VA 23321

Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC) and the host Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA), saw Currituck County's basketball squad overcome Western Branch by a tally of 55-47.

With the victory, Currituck County improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Knights host Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC) to confront the Bears in a 2A/3A Conference 15 challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Hertford County won 66-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Maury (Norfolk, VA)

Next up, the Bruins confront the Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Saturday, December 10. Western Branch will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
