California High School Basketball - Newport Harbor holds off Lakewood
December 7, 2022: Lakewood, CA 90713 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Newport Harbor Sailors (Newport Beach, CA) and the host Lakewood Lancers (Lakewood, CA), saw Newport Harbor's basketball squad hold off Lakewood by a tally of 81-79.
With the victory, Newport Harbor improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Sailors travel to Portola (Irvine, CA) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 9. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Portola won 52-31 in their recent non-league challenge against California (Whittier, CA)
Next up, the Lancers confront the California Condors (Whittier, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 8. Lakewood will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Condors come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 52-31 non-league loss to Portola (Irvine, CA).
