California High School Basketball - Castlemont holds off El Cerrito
December 7, 2022: El Cerrito, CA 94530 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Castlemont Knights (Oakland, CA) and the host El Cerrito Gauchos (El Cerrito, CA), saw Castlemont's basketball squad hold off El Cerrito by a tally of 29-27.
With the victory, Castlemont improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Knights host Vallejo (Vallejo, CA) to confront the Red Hawks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 15. The Red Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 2-6.
Next up, the Gauchos confront the Swett Warriors (Crockett, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 8. El Cerrito will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 55-54 non-league win over Ygnacio Valley (Concord, CA).
