New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC), 25-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Hanover upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to play the Screaming Eagle in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Screaming Eagle go into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Patriots play the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Pender will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
