Minnesota High School Ice Hockey - Mayo holds off Winona
December 7, 2022: Winona, MN 55987 The Mayo Spartans edged the host Winona Winhawks ice hockey squad by a tally of 4-3 in Wednesday's league bout.
With the victory, Mayo betters its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Proctor (Proctor, MN) to confront the Rails in a non-league bout on Sunday, December 11. The Rails go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
The Winhawks now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mankato West for a Big 9 bout on Saturday, December 10.
