December 7, 2022: Monroe, GA 30656 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA) and the visiting Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA), saw Monroe Area's basketball squad overcome Walnut Grove by a tally of 46-31.
The Purple Hurricanes (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Alcovy (Covington, GA). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 5-2 record.
The Warriors now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Cedar Shoals for a test on Friday, December 9. Walnut Grove will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 55-27 non-league loss to Salem (Conyers, GA). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-1.
