Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI), 63-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Prout upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Rogers (Newport, RI) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Chargers play the Burrillville Broncos (Harrisville, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Chariho will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
