Arizona High School Basketball - Copper Canyon knocked off by Verrado
December 7, 2023: Glendale, AZ 85305 The Verrado Vipers basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Copper Canyon Aztecs to 51 in the Vipers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Vipers now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Havasu for a 5A Desert West contest on Monday, December 11. Verrado will meet a Knights team coming off a 59-49 non-league loss to Mingus (Cottonwood, AZ). The Knights record now stands at 0-9.
The Aztecs (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Browne (Phoenix, AZ). The Bruins enter the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Browne was outscored by Dobson (Mesa, AZ), 72-55, in a non-league contest.
