Ohio High School Basketball - Edgewood nips SPIRE Institute
December 7, 2023: Ashtabula, OH 44004 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Edgewood Warriors (Ashtabula, OH) and the visiting SPIRE Institute SPIRE (Geneva, OH), saw Edgewood's basketball squad hold off SPIRE Institute by a tally of 56-50.
With the victory, Edgewood improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Harvey (Painesville, OH) to play the Red Raiders in a Chagrin Valley - Lake challenge on Wednesday, December 13. The Red Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 1-0.
Next up, the SPIRE play the Lake Catholic Cougars (Mentor, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 8. SPIRE Institute will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.
