Arkansas High School Basketball - Fordyce topped by McGehee
December 7, 2023: Fordyce, AR 71742 The McGehee Owls basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the host Fordyce Redbugs to 41 in the Owls non-league victory on Thursday.
The Owls now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monticello for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. McGehee will battle a Billies team coming off a 58-57 non-league loss to Camden Fairview (Camden, AR). The Billies record now stands at 1-4.
The Redbugs (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Gurdon (Gurdon, AR). The Go-Devils come into the 2A Region 8 contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Gurdon dropped by Harmony Grove (Camden, AR), 68-30, in a non-league contest.
