In Thursday's non-league outing, the Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences Vipers (Granada Hills, CA) basketball squad edged the visiting Maywood Academy Nighthawks (Maywood, CA), by a margin of 50-45.

The Vipers (9-0) will now prepare for their outing against Sherman Oaks CES (Reseda, CA). The Knights go into the Valley outing with a 5-5 record.
