Sierra Blanca Vaqueros (Sierra Blanca, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Sanderson Eagles (Sanderson, TX), 50-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sierra Blanca upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Vaqueros host Van Horn (Van Horn, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a 1A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-4.

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Jesus Chapel Chargers (El Paso, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 7. Sanderson will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record.
