Nebraska High School Basketball - Wood River nips St. Paul
December 7, 2023: St. Paul, NE 68873 Wood River Eagles (Wood River, NE) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host St. Paul Wildcats (St. Paul, NE), 50-48 in a league bout.
With the victory, Wood River upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Blue Hill (Blue Hill, NE) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 0-4.
Next up, the Wildcats play the Adams Central Patriots (Hastings, NE) in a C1 District 9 game, on Tuesday, December 12. St. Paul will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Patriots enter the game with a 4-0 record after their 54-38 non-league win over Gothenburg (Gothenburg, NE).
