Thurston Colts (Springfield, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Willamette Wolverines (Eugene, OR), 72-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Thurston upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Colts host South Eugene (Eugene, OR) to play the Axe in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Axe go into the bout with a record of 2-1. South Eugene won 73-70 in their recent non-league bout against South Salem (Salem, OR)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Crater Comets (Central Point, OR) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. Willamette will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 67-50 non-league win over Hidden Valley (Grants Pass, OR).
