Atlanta Rabbits (Atlanta, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pleasant Grove Hawks (Texarkana, TX), 40-39 in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Rabbits face the New Boston Lions (New Boston, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, December 8. Atlanta will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The Lions enter the game with a 2-7 record after their 36-20 non-league win over Hope (Hope, AR).

With the defeat, Pleasant Grove moves to 2-7 on the year. The Hawks host New Diana (Diana, TX) to face the Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 12. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 5-11. New Diana lost 41-30 in their recent non-league game against Harmony (Big Sandy, TX)
