The Lovelady Lions basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Center Roughriders to 54 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Lions now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Heights for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Lovelady will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 68-63 league loss to Pineywoods Community Academy (Lufkin, TX). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-6.

The Roughriders (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Christian Homeschool Sports Ministries (Spring, TX). The Crimson Knights enter the non-league contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Christian Homeschool Sports Ministries was defeated by Broaddus (Broaddus, TX), 50-35, in a non-league contest.
