Texas High School Basketball - Cherokee nips Jonesboro
December 7, 2023: Cherokee, TX 76832 Cherokee Indians (Cherokee, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Jonesboro Eagles (Jonesboro, TX), 26-25 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Cherokee upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Indians host Brady (Brady, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-13. Brady lost 52-40 in their recent non-league bout against Coleman (Coleman, TX)
Next up, the Eagles play the Brookesmith Mustangs (Brookesmith, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Jonesboro will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 38-24 non-league win over Paint Rock (Paint Rock, TX).
