In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Connally Cadets basketball team scored a good 34-26 triumph over the Mount Vernon Tigers.

In their next game, the Cadets meet the Madisonville Mustangs (Madisonville, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 8. Connally will attempt to move on its 11-6 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 10-1 record after their 51-42 non-league win over Covenant Christian (Conroe, TX).
