Ellwood City Wolverine (Ellwood City, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA), 46-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ellwood City upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Wolverine travel to Brentwood (Pittsburgh, PA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Monday, December 11. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Brentwood lost 55-27 in their recent non-league bout against Keystone Oaks (Pittsburgh, PA)

Next up, the Vikings play the Riverside Panthers (Ellwood City, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Hopewell will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
