Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks (Tucson, AZ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Rincon/University Rangers (Tucson, AZ), 40-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Ironwood Ridge upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Nighthawks travel to Ironwood (Glendale, AZ) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 3-3. Ironwood lost 61-20 in their recent non-league bout against Horizon (Scottsdale, AZ)

Next up, the Rangers play the Mountain View Mountain Lions (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Rincon/University will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.
