The Redwood Valley Cardinals (Redwood Falls, MN) basketball nipped the host Montevideo Thunderhawks (Montevideo, MN), 49-42 in Thursday's league test.

The Cardinals (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Windom (Windom, MN). The Eagles go into the AA Section 3 test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, Windom got by Worthington (Worthington, MN), 74-59, in a non-league test.
