Alabama High School Basketball - Pike Road crushes Wetumpka
December 7, 2023: Pike Road, AL 36064 Pike Road Patriots (Pike Road, AL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Wetumpka Indians (Wetumpka, AL), 55-20 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Pike Road upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Patriots host Lanett (Lanett, AL) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Lanett won 47-46 in their recent non-league bout against Booker T. Washington (Tuskegee, AL)
Next up, the Indians play the Saint James Trojans (Montgomery, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Wetumpka will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 46-39 non-league win over Prattville Christian Academy (Prattville, AL).
