December 7, 2024: Winthrop, MN 55396 The Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds basketball team scored 64 points and limited the visiting Lakeview Lakers to 59 in the Thunderbirds non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Thunderbirds now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Cedar Mountain for a A Section 2 game on Tuesday, December 10. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop will confront a Cougars team coming off a 86-75 league win over Lester Prairie (Lester Prairie, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 2-0.
