December 7, 2024: West Liberty, IA 52776 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hillcrest Academy Ravens (Kalona, IA) and the host West Liberty Comets (West Liberty, IA), observed Hillcrest Academy's basketball team knock off West Liberty by a score of 59-41.
The Ravens (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Winfield-Mt. Union (Winfield, IA). The Wolves come into the SEI - North challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Winfield-Mt. Union was knocked off by Centerville (Centerville, IA), 58-42, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Comets encounter the Monticello Panthers (Monticello, IA) in a River Valley challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. West Liberty will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 71-42 league win over Tipton (Tipton, IA).
