Texas High School Basketball - Jay overwhelms Veterans Memorial

December 7, 2024: San Antonio, TX 78227

The Jay Mustangs basketball team scored 78 points and limited the visiting Veterans Memorial Patriots to 50 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now have a 16-2 record. They play next when they host South San Antonio for a 5A Region IV District 28 game on Tuesday, December 10. Jay will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 44-41 non-league win over Cleburne (Cleburne, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Veterans Memorial falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Pieper (San Antonio, TX) to confront the Warriors in a 5A Region IV District 26 game on Tuesday, December 10. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 10-4. Pieper won 53-42 in their recent non-league game against Johnson (Buda, TX)
