Mississippi High School Basketball - Parklane Academy toppled by Lawrence County
December 7, 2024: McComb, MS 39648 Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Parklane Academy Pioneers (McComb, MS), 55-44 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Lawrence County upgrades its record to 6-4 on the year. The Cougars travel to Hazlehurst (Hazlehurst, MS) to face the Indians in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 10. The Indians enter the match with a record of 4-5.
The Pioneers now sport a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodlawn Prep for a non-league match on Monday, December 9. Parklane Academy will face a Wolfpack squad coming off a 74-58 league win over Mt. Salus Christian (Clinton, MS). The Wolfpack record now stands at 14-1.
