In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Merced Bears basketball team scored a good 64-55 triumph over the Lincoln Mustangs.

The Bears (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Immanuel (Reedley, CA). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Immanuel topped Fresno (Fresno, CA), 69-62, in a non-league contest.
