Illinois High School Basketball - Aurora East can't hold off Elk Grove
December 7, 2024: Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 Elk Grove Grenadiers (Elk Grove Village, IL) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL), 37-32 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Elk Grove advances its record to 1-9 on the year. The Grenadiers host Streamwood (Streamwood, IL) to face the Sabres in a non-league match on Saturday, December 14. The Sabres enter the match with a record of 4-3.
The Tomcats now own a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Streamwood for a Upstate Eight match on Tuesday, December 10. Aurora East will face a Sabres squad coming off a 60-26 league win over Elgin (Elgin, IL). The Sabres record now stands at 4-3.
