Texas High School Basketball - Bronte nips Winters
December 7, 2024: Bronte, TX 76933 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Bronte Longhorns (Bronte, TX) and the visiting Winters Blizzards (Winters, TX), observed Bronte's basketball team edge Winters by a margin of 38-33.
The Longhorns (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Garden City (Garden City, TX). The Bearkats come into the 1A Region II District 11 challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Garden City edged Lamesa (Lamesa, TX), 50-28, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Blizzards battle the Colorado Wolves (Colorado City, TX) in a 2A Region I District 8 challenge, on Friday, December 13. Winters will attempt to better on its 9-9 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 52-50 non-league win over Faith Academy (Marble Falls, TX).
