Discovery Canyon Thunder (Colorado Springs, CO) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Grand Junction Tigers (Grand Junction, CO), 53-48 in a non-league challenge.

The Thunder (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Pueblo County (Pueblo, CO). The Hornets come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Chaparral Wolverines (Parker, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 12. Grand Junction will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 60-52 non-league loss to Pine Creek (Colorado Springs, CO).
