December 7, 2024: Hico, TX 76457 The Malakoff Tigers basketball team scored 34 points and limited the host Hico Tigers to 23 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Tigers now possess a 13-1 record. They play next when they travel to Kemp for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. Malakoff will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 48-34 non-league win over Texas Wind (Waco, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-6.
With the loss, Hico falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host De Leon (De Leon, TX) to confront the Bearcats in a 2A Region II District 11 game on Friday, December 13. The Bearcats go into the game with a record of 0-4.
