Texas High School Basketball - La Porte holds off Navasota
December 7, 2024: Navasota, TX 77868 The La Porte Bulldogs basketball team scored 41 points and limited the host Navasota Rattlers to 36 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now have a 14-8 record. They play next when they travel to Friendswood for a 5A Region III District 20 game on Tuesday, December 10. La Porte will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 48-46 non-league loss to Salado (Salado, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 11-6.
With the loss, Navasota falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Rattlers host Anderson-Shiro (Anderson, TX) to confront the Fighting Owls in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. The Fighting Owls go into the game with a record of 3-8. Anderson-Shiro lost 44-25 in their recent non-league game against La Grange (La Grange, TX)
