Texas High School Basketball - Leon sneaks past Wolfe City
December 7, 2024: Wolfe City, TX 75496 The Leon Cougars basketball team scored 43 points and limited the host Wolfe City Wolves to 36 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cougars now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Iola for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. Leon will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 62-20 non-league loss to Cayuga (Cayuga, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-6.
With the loss, Wolfe City falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Wolves host Bland (Merit, TX) to play the Tigers in a 2A Region II District 14 game on Tuesday, December 10. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 7-0. Bland won 49-34 in their recent non-league game against Palestine (Palestine, TX)
