Texas High School Basketball - Tyler sneaks past Lovejoy
December 7, 2024: Lucas, TX 75002 The Tyler Lions (Tyler, TX) basketball edged the host Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX), 50-43 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Lions now possess a 12-4 record. They play next when they host Jacksonville for a 5A Region II District 10 bout on Tuesday, December 10. Tyler will play a Fightin' Indians team coming off a 66-13 non-league win over West Rusk (New London, TX). The Fightin' Indians record now stands at 11-1.
With the loss, Lovejoy falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Leopards host Anna (Anna, TX) to play the Coyotes in a 5A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, December 10. The Coyotes go into the bout with a record of 12-5. Anna won 62-23 in their recent non-league bout against Van Alstyne (Van Alstyne, TX)
