Texas High School Basketball - Roosevelt triumphant over Morton
December 7, 2024: Lubbock, TX 79403 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Roosevelt Eagles (Lubbock, TX) and the visiting Morton Indians (Morton, TX), observed Roosevelt's basketball team overwhelm Morton by a margin of 47-17.
The Eagles (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Slaton (Slaton, TX). The Tigers come into the 3A Region I District 2 challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Slaton was trounced by Borden County (Gail, TX), 50-48, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Indians battle the Whiteface Antelopes (Whiteface, TX) in a 2A Region I District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Morton will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record. The Antelopes come into the challenge with a 15-2 record after their 41-32 non-league win over Newcastle (Newcastle, TX).
