Texas High School Basketball - The Colony holds off Royse City
December 7, 2024: Royse City, TX 75189 The The Colony Cougars basketball team scored 42 points and limited the host Royse City Bulldogs to 40 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cougars now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they host Turner for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. The Colony will confront a Lions team coming off a 70-4 non-league loss to Anna (Anna, TX). The Lions record now stands at 2-7.
With the loss, Royse City falls to 7-13 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Rockwall (Rockwall, TX) to battle the Yellowjackets in a 6A Region II District 10 contest on Tuesday, December 10. The Yellowjackets go into the contest with a record of 10-8. Rockwall won 59-28 in their recent non-league contest against Skyline (Dallas, TX)
