Michigan High School Ice Hockey - Sault Area knocks off Kingsford
December 7, 2024: Sault St. Marie, MI 49783 The Sault Area Blue Devils ice hockey team scored 5 points and held the visiting Kingsford Flivvers to 1 in the Blue Devils non-league victory on Saturday.
The Blue Devils now own a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Orion for a non-league bout on Friday, December 13. Sault Area will play a Dragons team coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Grandville (Grandville, MI). The Dragons record now stands at 2-5.
With the defeat, Kingsford moves to 1-3 on the season. The Flivvers host Negaunee (Negaunee, MI) to play the Miners in a Lake Superior bout on Monday, December 9. The Miners go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Negaunee won 7-2 in their recent non-league bout against Tawas Area (Tawas City, MI)
