In Thursday's non-league outing, the Valley View Eagles (Moreno Valley, CA) basketball squad nipped the host Canyon Springs Cougars (Moreno Valley, CA), by a margin of 49-46.

The Eagles (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against Arlington (Riverside, CA). The Lions go into the non-league outing with a 5-4 record. In their last outing, Arlington got by Rialto (Rialto, CA), 66-53, in a non-league outing.
