The Westlake Charter Explorers basketball team (Sacramento, CA), dropped 80-65 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Vanguard College Prep Lions (Modesto, CA)

The Lions now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gustine for a non-league battle on Friday, December 9. Vanguard College Prep will confront a Reds team coming off a 69-20 non-league loss to Turlock Christian (Turlock, CA). The Reds record now stands at 0-4.

The Explorers (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Encina Prep (Sacramento, CA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Encina Prep beat Creative Connections Arts Academy (North Highlands, CA), 81-13, in a non-league battle.
