Downingtown East Cougars (Exton, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Academy Park Knights (Sharon Hill, PA), 52-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Downingtown East upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to East (West Chester, PA) to play the Vikings in a Ches-Mont - National bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Knights play the Downingtown West Whippets (Downingtown, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Academy Park will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
