Ohio High School Basketball - Van Wert tops Celina
December 8, 2022: Celina, OH 45822 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Van Wert Cougars (Van Wert, OH) and the host Celina Bulldogs (Celina, OH), saw Van Wert's basketball squad knock off Celina by a count of 44-35.
With the victory, Van Wert upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Wayne Trace (Haviland, OH) to play the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Wayne Trace lost 48-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian (Fort Wayne, IN)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Shawnee Indians (Lima, OH) in a Western Buckeye challenge, on Thursday, December 15. Celina will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 61-39 league win over Elida (Elida, OH).
